After many months of not blogging here I am blogging again for the purpose of displaying some of the photos I have created and love. As I’ve said before I have archives of photos that need to be gone through and shared with the world because otherwise they are moments lost in time or lost in the digital abyss. So here are a couple from two days ago, June 26th, 2011. I’ve been in Mammoth for the past week or so, date and times don’t really register for me, that’s actually why I tagged the date so I could pinpoint it otherwise it’s just another fun day in the life, which is fine, but my memory doesn’t catalogue that way. Since I’ve been here, I ridden a couple hundred road miles, climbed thousands of feet on rock, devoured more good food then I can recount, dirt biked, DH’d and learned how to slackline, among other things my memory failed to recount.
The other day, Chris and I took his brother Peter and his girlfriend Brook climbing. It was Pete’s first time. The pace at which we climbed was a bit more relaxed then normal. Chris and I are usually on a tear to bang out a lot of climbs. I must say I enjoyed the teaching process and pace of yesterday. Helping them learn in turn helped me to learn and think about my technique. It twas a fine day indeed!
